Welcome to Meadows Academy Preschool and Daycare
Experienced teachers with advanced degrees who are warm, loving, and highly committed are at the heart of our care. They are excellent role models with moral authority, sound Christian character, and good family values. They understand how children learn and use small manageable steps to ensure every child learns how to read, write, count, think, and communicate with confidence.
Through our personalized methods of teaching, your child will experience and acquire a love for learning. We make it possible for your child to learn based on their learning style, as well as pace of acquiring knowledge and developing skills. In addition to a thorough assessment of your child’s total development, we strive to understand their unique gifts so we can set individual learning goals and responsive approaches of instruction.
Our teacher-student ratio exceeds state standards, enabling our teachers to provide individualized attention and personalized education for every student. Through lower ratios, we are able to keep assessment and instruction closely intertwined, allowing us to monitor student progress while providing the foundation necessary in academics, movement and coordination, social skills, work habits, and value formation.
We are committed to academic excellence and ensuring your child enters the “big” school both eager and ready to learn. Our goal is to educate students so they are not only equipped to take on kindergarten or first grade level work at any school where the Common Core is used, but also positioned to succeed. Our Core Knowledge Preschool curriculum focuses on challenging but appropriate content, and is truly unique among early childhood programs.
Our Core Virtues Program is a practical approach to character education. It is literature-based and cultivates growth of character in your child by promoting basic moral, civic, and intellectual virtues. Every student learns a specific “virtue of the month” such as respect, responsibility, diligence, honesty, generosity, perseverance, courage, faithfulness, integrity, humility, and compassion– through character education stories, thematic art projects and activities.
Parents are the ones primarily responsible for the education of their children. As your partners in this great adventure, our role is to work with you to guide your child in the acquisition of knowledge, skills, the right habits and attitudes, as well as provide support in their value formation. Regular progress reports measure each student’s performance and parent-teacher conferences keep you informed of your child’s progress as well as developmental opportunities.
