In Language Arts last week, early preschoolers learned about the Letter Y. They saw flash cards with pictures of words that start with Y: yarn, yellow, yak, yoyo, yardstick, yacht and yogurt.
In Reading, early preschoolers listened to the Letter Y Book by Jane Belk Moncure. They also listened to the read-aloud, “The Yak Who Yelled Yuck” by Carol Pugliano-Martin.
In Visual Arts, students painted a picture of an Easter bunny using water color paint.
In Math, they did the Calendar activities and reviewed counting up to 15.
In Nursery Rhymes, students sang the “Alphabet Song” and “The Ants Go Marching.”
In Movement and Coordination, students played with long foam noodles and tossed them into the air like a rocket! Each student had one “rocket noodle” and was able to use their large muscle skills in practicing how to throw the noodle correctly.
