For Kodaly Music last week, students learned to sing several songs.
We sang “God Made Me” and “O Be Careful Little Eyes What You See.” We discussed the lyrics of the song and how our hands are meant to do nice things to people. Students then replied, “Hands are for helping, not for hurting.”
We also sang the song “For the Father Up Above is Looking Down in Love” and learned that God is everywhere and He sees us all the time, so we have to be careful with what we say and do.
Everyone had fun dancing to the “Hokey Pokey”, marched to the beat of “Prelude Act 1 from Carmen” and learned about the different parts of our body by tapping them with bean bags.
