In Reading last week, preschoolers listened to the read-aloud “The D Book” by Jane Belk Moncure; “Three Little Pigs” by Nicola Baxter; “Firefighters” by Dorling Kindersley; and “The Bravest Cat” by Laura Driscoll.
In Nursery Rhymes, students had a fun time learning “Leaves Are Falling” and “I’m A Little Firefighter”.
In Language, preschoolers learned the uppercase and lowercase D. To reinforce the name and sound of the letter D, students did the following language arts activities: Letter D Book, pasting D pictures on the Letter D, and a Letter D art project. To review the sound of D, students went online to Starfall.com and learned about pictures and words that begin with D.
In Math, preschoolers gained more knowledge by continuing to work on shapes, counting, and patterns.
In Science Discovery, it was a fun day learning about “Bats.” Preschoolers created a “Bat Craft” and painted their bats black!
In Virtue of the Month, students listened to “Noah’s Arc” by Charles Reasoning and learned about the virtues of integrity and obedience.
