Last week in Reading, early preschoolers listened to the Alphatales story “When Tilly Turtle Came to Tea” by Carol-Pugliano Martin. It is a funny story about Tilly Turtle, Tiger, and Toad who are enjoying a terrific tea party until an accident occurs. Finding out how they solve their ticklish problem was a fun way of teaching the Letter T.
In Nursery Rhymes, we sang rhymes that start with the Letter T like “I’m a Little Teapot” and “It’s Time to Clean Up!”
In Language, early preschoolers learned more about the Letter T and what begins with T. They had so much fun doing arts and crafts such as T for a Turtle craft, T for a Tiger craft, and playing with a stuffed turtle and other toys.
In Autonomy and Social Skills, students worked on learning how to take turns by playing with puppets in the Puppet Play Center.
In Math, we played a counting game from 1 – 10 in which each child had to point to the corresponding number one at a time while counting.
In Movement and Coordination during JumpBunch, we had a great time doing several stretching and and exercise activities in the big room.
